Louisiana Athletics Well-Represented in Sun Belt Academic Honors

Department-wide 200 total student-athletes received recognition for academic success

LAFAYETTE - A combined total of 200 student-athletes represented Louisiana Athletics on the 2019-20 Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List and Academic Honor Roll, recognizing their accomplishments inside the classroom during the most recently completed academic year.

Louisiana placed 110 student-athletes on the SBC Commissioner's List and 90 student-athletes on the SBC Academic Honor Roll.

The Commissioner's List honors student-athletes who maintained a 3.5 grade point average or better during the 2019-20 academic year, while the Academic Honor Roll honors those student-athletes who maintained a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49.

Among the Academic Honor Roll recipients, the Ragin' Cajuns football squad placed the most with 21. With a total of 17 student-athletes named to the Commissioner's List, the Louisiana Baseball squad held department-high honors, followed closely by soccer and women's track and field/cross country with 16 each.
