LAFAYETTE - Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball (9-0, 3-0 Sun Belt), off to the third-best start in program history and the nation's leader in wins after four weeks of play, is receiving votes in the first edition of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Fall Top 15 Coaches poll.

Louisiana collected 39 points from the ballots casted among the coaches within the AVCA organization, sitting 19th among all schools that received votes.

Teams in the ACC, Big 12, SEC, and Sun Belt Conference are eligible for the AVCA Fall Division I Coaches Poll.

The Ragin' Cajuns are one of four Group of 5 programs recognized in the poll and are joined by fellow Sun Belt schools Texas State (No. 15), Troy (8 votes) and Coastal Carolina (3 votes).

Led by senior outside hitter Hali Wisnoskie who is averaging an astounding 5.03 kills per set and senior setter Avery Breaux who averages 12.33 assists per set, head coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot's squad possesses one of the most potent offensive attacks in the nation. Louisiana averages nearly 15 kills per set (14.97) on a .295 hitting percentage and ranks Top 10 nationally in all offensive categoires.

Louisiana continues Sun Belt play Friday-Saturday, Oct. 2-3 with a two-match series at travel partner ULM in Monroe. The contests precede an eight-match homestand at Earl K. Long Gym that begins Friday-Saturday, Oct. 9-10 with a key three-match series vs. No. 15 Texas State.
