Ragin’ Cajuns close out 2020 Spring semester in strong fashion

LAFAYETTE - Louisiana Athletics saw 37 student-athletes across 10 of its sports programs earn degrees on Friday as the 2020 Spring semester officially came to a close.

The department's Track & Field program's led the way with a total of 12 graduates, while Women Soccer's Franziska Riepl was named the Outstanding Graduate for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration.

"On behalf of our entire department, I want to congratulate all of our graduates," Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard said. "Receiving a college degree is our number one priority for our student-athletes, and I could not be more proud of and happier for this spring's graduating class and their families. We wish them great success as they begin the next chapter and look forward to staying connected with this new group of Ragin' Cajun alumni."

Football, Baseball and Women's Soccer each had four student-athletes receive their degrees, with three student-athletes from both Men's Basketball, Softball and Men's Tennis earned their degrees. Two student-athletes from Women's Basketball and Julia Pasch of the Volleyball program helped round out the department's 37 graduates.
