Volleyball: Ragin' Cajuns Sweep Houston Baptist in Exhibition Match

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball posted a clean sweep (25-18, 25-16, 25-22, 25-23, 15-12) of Saturday's exhibition match with Houston Baptist at Earl K. Long Gym.
 
The Ragin' Cajuns and Huskies chose to play out all five sets of the contest which brought an end to preseason camp.
 
LEADING THE RAGIN' CAJUNS
Hali Wisnoskie tallied a match-high 16 kills on a .341 hitting percentage. She was also tied for the match lead in blocks, joining Dree'Ana Abram with five blocks.
 
Libero Sydney Davis led all players with 34 digs and was joined in double digits by Avery Breaux and Lexi Hebert who each had 13 digs.
 
Breaux handed out 32 assists, playing the majority of the contest at setter.
 
Kelsey Bennett stood out amongst all newcomers as the freshman from Allen, Texas scored seven kills, scooped eight digs and notched a service ace.
 
UP NEXT FOR LOUISIANA
Louisiana officially begins the 2018 season Friday-Saturday, Aug. 24-25 in New Orleans competing in Tulane's I-10 Challenge at Devlin Fieldhouse. The Ragin' Cajuns face Incarnate Word at 4 p.m. on Friday in the season opener.
