LAFAYETTE – It was a perfect day at Cajun Courts for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team as they completed the doubleheader sweep of the Jackson State Tigers, 7-0, 6-0, to push their winning streak to three matches.
The Cajuns didn't drop a single match throughout both matches, losing only set in the process, winning the doubles point in the first match, playing out all three matches, and they won all 12 singles matches that were contested today.  Giving Louisiana 15 wins on the day as they cruised past the Tigers in their return to Cajun Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Doubles): Sophomore Pearse Dolan and freshman Nico Sojka got things started for the Cajuns when they took down the Jackson State duo of Vishu Prasad and Joan Sanson, 6-1 to give the Cajuns a quick 1-0 lead in doubles.
Louisiana then clinched things at No. 3 when junior Arthur Libaud and sophomore Jamie Fraser beat the Tigers pair of Federico Mendieta and Fritz Jacobs, 6-3 to lock up the doubles point for the Cajuns.  Things were played out at No. 1, and the Cajuns took care of business there as well when senior Vlad Kramarov and sophomore Elio Lago took down the Tigers pair of Andrey Alawi and Stylianos Gkontsaris, 6-4 to finish up Louisiana's perfect morning in doubles.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Singles): Kramarov won his match at No. 2, 6-0, 6-1, over Sanson to quickly get Louisiana a singles win.  He was joined by Sojka who cruised through Prasad in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, to put the score at 3-0 Louisiana.
The Cajuns then clinched things at No. 5 when Lago won another straight sets match for the Cajuns, 6-0, 6-3, over Mendieta to put the score at 4-0 in favor of the Cajuns to lock up the Cajuns victory in the first match of the day.
The remaining matches were played out and at No. 3 Dolan took care of Jacobs, 6-0, 6-3 and he was followed Fraser who at No. 4 gave Louisiana yet another straight set win when he took down Gkontsaris, 6-4, 6-4.  And at No. 1 things wrapped up when Libaud took down Alawi, 6-4, 6-4, to complete the Cajuns perfect morning in the first half of the twin bill.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Singles): The second match kicked off with singles first, and Louisiana picked up right where they left off without missing a beat.  And it started with Dolan at No. 3 when he took down Sanson, 6-1, 6-2.  The next win came at No. 2, when Libaud won his match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0, over Jacobs.
No. 4 was the next match to finish and Lago was the winner there winning in straight sets, 6-0, 6-4 to put the Cajuns one win away from clinching things.  That clinch came at No. 6 when Sojka won another straight set match, 6-3, 7-5 to give the Cajuns yet another win on the day.
The remaining matches, much like the previous match, were played out and the next to finish was at No. 5 when Fraser added to the Cajuns straight set domination taking care of Prasad, 6-4, 6-0.  It was at No. 1 where the Cajuns dropped their one and only set of the day, when Kramarov lost the first set to Alawi, but the Cajuns senior and reigning Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, came storming back to take the next two sets to win the match, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, to lock up the Cajuns sweep of Jackson State.

UP NEXT FOR THE CAJUNS: Louisiana returns to Cajun courts next weekend when they host another doubleheader when Tennessee Tech and East Carolina visit on Friday, Feb. 23.  They'll finish off that weekend with a single match against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday, Feb. 24.
