Mr. Babineaux was a native of Cankton and a resident of Ossun for nearly forty years. For many years he served as an accountant at All American Insurance Company followed by Azar Eye Clinic. After retirement, Mr. Wil began his second career bartending and serving at UL sporting events, the Cajun Cooking Club and other events at the Cajun Dome. He enjoyed most of all visiting with patrons at the baseball games. Even as his health declined he would do everything he could to make the games and share his passion for people. His love was felt by all he served. He also enjoyed being outdoors, especially working in his yard.

A devout Catholic, Mr. Babineaux was a parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott where he was an Usher and was a member of the Bonne Mort Society. He cherished Sunday gatherings with his family attending Mass, having a family meal and spending the day together. He had a passion for family; nothing made him happier than spending time with his children and grandchildren.
