Women's Tennis: Ragin’ Cajuns Drop Hard-Fought Match to UTA

LAFAYETTE - Louisiana dropped its first home match of the season on Sunday afternoon, falling to Sun Belt foe UTA 4-1 at Cajun Courts.

Louisiana (7-5, 3-2 Sun Belt) had an electric start to the match by claiming the doubles point. Floriane Picaut and Clara Mantaux proved why they are one of the best doubles pairs in the conference, extending their record together to 6-1.

Lucie Raquin and Dana Radovanovic helped as well, claiming a 6-2 win on the day.

UTA (14-3, 7-0 Sun Belt) picked up its seventh conference win on the season by taking four singles matches from Louisiana.

Picaut and Mantaux battled through their matches, however, with Mantaux claiming a her first set and Picaut getting her second set. 

Louisiana will be in action this week with it travels to Arkansas State to pick up the match that was suspended last week.
