Football: Jackson Ladner Earns Sun Belt Postgraduate Scholarship
The former long snapper is one of seven recipients of the postgraduate honor from around the league
LAFAYETTE – For his contributions on the field and hard work in the classroom, former Ragin' Cajuns long snapper Jackson Ladner has been awarded a Postgraduate Scholarship from the Sun Belt Conference, the league office announced on Thursday. Ladner is one of seven student-athletes to receive the award.
To be eligible, selected student-athletes must be pursuing graduate degree following completion of their undergraduate studies. The recipients were selected by the Sun Belt Postgraduate Scholarship Committee, which is comprised of Faculty Athletic Representatives from across the conference.
Ladner graduated in December with a 3.80 GPA and a Bachelor's degree in kinesiology. He plans on attending the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in pursuit of becoming a physical therapist.
On the gridiron, the New Orleans, Louisiana, native appeared in 26 games in two years, including 12 during his senior season, as the long snapper on the punt, field goal and PAT units. He joined the team as a walk-on during spring practice prior to the 2016 season.
