Track: Brown’s 1500-meter win paces UL track effort

RUSTON – Casey Brown’s victory in the women’s 1500-meter run highlighted the University of Louisiana’s performance in the Louisiana Tech Twilight Meet in Ruston.
Brown clocked a personal-best 5:18.49 to give the Cajuns their only individual victory in the meet, after finishing second in the 3000-meter in 11:25.69.

Also posting second-place efforts for the UL women were Suzanne Boudreaux in the 1500 (5:22.96), Jasmine Collins in the 800 (2:19.32) and the 4×400-meter relay team of Collins, Jamie Blue, Gabriella Jones and Kio Redeaux (3:58.68).

Jason Chery’s third-place finish in the 100-meter (10.79) and Herman Clark with a third in the 400-meter hurdles (55.05) were the top finishes for the Cajun men.
