Baseball: Names emerge for baseball photo from 1952

Readers came through with information about this 1952 photograph, which had a caption that identified it only as an American Legion presentation. Six men from the photo called in with full or partial information. Not everything was cleared up. G. Allen "Coach" Conque of Carencro, standing at the far right, said he thought the photo showed a 15- and 16-year-old all-star team. Bo Domingue, standing third from left, said it showed the 1952 American Legion all-star team representing Scott, Youngsville, Carencro, Lafayette High and Cathedral High. Here are Domingue’s IDs for the picture, starting with the front row, from left: Don Motlow, Dickie McCauley, Francis Arceneaux, Irving Babineaux, Allen Begnaud and Fred Lee. Back row: Louis Martin, Harold Domingue, Bo Domingue, Caro Louviere and Allen Conque.
