27 Student-Athletes Set To Graduate During Fall Commencement Ceremonies

LAFAYETTE – Twenty-seven Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns student-athletes will be a part of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Fall 2017 Commencement ceremonies on Friday at the Cajundome and Convention Center.
Nine members of the Ragin’ Cajuns football team will earn their degrees along with four members of the both the soccer and women’s track and field teams. During the 2017 calendar year, a total of 71 Ragin’ Cajuns student-athletes earned their respective degrees.
Former Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, ’64, delivered the Commencement address. The first and only woman to serve as governor of Louisiana, she took office in 2004.
