Baseball: Trahan Named To Brooks Wallace Award Watch List

LUBBOCK, Texas – Junior All-American shortstop Blake Trahan was named one of 47 players on the initial watch list for the 2015 Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award, the National College Baseball Hall of Fame announced on Friday.
 
The award, sponsored by Mizuno, recognizes the nation’s top shortstop and will be presented during the National College Baseball Hall of Fame’s Night of Champions on June 29 in Lubbock.
 
Trahan, the 2015 Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year, was a finalist for the award a year ago. This season, Trahan is hitting .375 with a team-high 57 hits, 13 doubles, 28 walks and a .492 on base percentage.
